What is your cancellation policy?
We require one night’s charge as deposit at the time of booking. You may cancel without penalty up until noon, two days prior to arrival. Should you cancel before the cut off, you can expect a full refund on your deposit.
When is Check-In and Check-Out?
Check-in is available at 3 pm and Check-out is 11 am. If you would like to arrive early, you are welcome to do so. If the room isn’t ready when you get here, we can get the check-in process going so that you can go back out and enjoy the town.
Where do I park?
In the summer, finding a parking spot can be a bit of a challenge. For your convenience, we have to 5-minute loading zones just outside our front door. After unloading, you have three options.
- Street parking is available throughout town but is limited to 3-hours from 9 am – 5 pm Monday – Saturday.
- There several free municipal lots in South Haven, two of which are directly across from our property. These are free and available 24 hours a day with no limitations on length.
- You can purchase a spot in a reserve lot about a block and half from our front door for $15 + taxes. Please contact the front desk for reservations in this lot.
In the spring, fall, and winter, parking is much easier and the reserve lot is not needed.
Can I bring my pet? What about a service animal?
Pets are not allowed at Old Harbor Inn. If you would like to board your pet while in town, check out Rover’s Retreat for boarding options.
Certified Service Animals are always welcome. However, companion and emotional support animals, even when accompanied by a doctor’s note, are not allowed.

What is the smoking policy?
All of our rooms are smoke free. Smoking in a room will result in a minimum cleaning charge of $275.
Can I bring extra people?
Our rooms are rated at 2 or 4 occupants, depending on the room. Any additional occupants in the room over the age 18 requires an extra-person charge of $10/night. Our largest room sleeps 6 people.
