Farming for a Local Experience

When you’re looking for a taste of local flavor, look no further than the Huron Street Pavilion. On Saturdays and Sundays, the covered parking lot (which is a skating rink in the icy months!), is transformed into a fresh-food-lover’s paradise with tables stacked full of radishes, greens, and potatoes. Next to that are towers of fresh tamales from a local favorite. Further down, you’ll find the tastiest gluten-free baked goods you’ve ever had. There are also hand-made offerings, such as soaps, textiles, and t-shirts with a hand. (PS – If that t-shirt thing throws you off, just ask someone from Michigan where they live.) Please enjoy these photos from my most recent trip to the Farmer’s Market. Hope to see you there soon!
