South Haven Festivals

Visit Old Harbor Inn and enjoy some of the best South Haven festivals!

The National Blueberry Festival in South Haven, Michigan, the self-proclaimed Blueberry Capital of the world, takes place August 12 – 15, 2010.  In its 47th year, nearly 50,000 people are expected to arrive in South Haven to enjoy what is considered the longest running blueberry festival.  It was originally considered a local event, but the throngs of people prompted organizers to change the name to "National" in 1969.

One of the favorite highlights of the festival are the fun foods like blueberry coffee, blueberry bratwurst and blueberry spaghetti.  There are pie-eating contests, blueberry recipe demonstrations and blueberry cook-offs.  Other South Haven festivals and Southwest Michigan vacation activities include:

  • Blueberry Pancake Breakfast
  • Blueberry Festival Pageant
  • 5K walk/run
  • Fish Boil Dinner
  • Blueberry Social
  • Live Music Entertainment
  • Kid’s Events
  • Sidewalk Sales
  • Sand Sculpting
  • Blueberry Festival Parade
  • Arts and Crafts Fair

The National Blueberry Festival is four days of fun, food and family.  If you are looking for South Haven Michigan hotels during your visit, we hope you will consider Old Harbor Inn for your stay.
